Meet the team

Rahul Nainwal: Rahul is the director of the IVO programme. You won’t see much of him unless you meet him during the assessment days. Rahul is also a returned VSO volunteer from Sierra Leone.

Monica Rana: Monica wears multiple hats at IVO. She doubles up as an enquiries and administration person ensuring that the volunteer journey from enquiry to departure stage is a smooth one.

Jyolsna Warrier: Jyolsna is a volunteer and placement adviser (VPA) and a volunteer selector at the India recruitment base. She returned to IVO after a gap of three years and has previously worked as a volunteer relationship officer. In her words, “It is needless to say that I am happy to be back!”

Reeta Nongmaithem: Reeta is volunteer and placement adviser (VPA) with a postgraduate degree in Sociology from Delhi University and has over 15 years of experience of working in the development sector. She has worked extensively on issues related to adolescents and young people’s reproductive and sexual health, HIV and AIDS, gender and international education management. Reeta brings with her great leadership and people management skills.

Reema Verma: Reema is a volunteer and programme manager, a volunteer trainer and selector, all rolled into one! Her association with IVO goes back to 2004 when its first batch of volunteers who were sent out from India. She says, “The journey till now has been exciting, challenging and a great learning experience.”

Ram Janki: ‘Janki’, as he is popularly called, is the moneyman at IVO. He is responsible everything related to money, this means all the grants and reimbursements that VSO volunteers are entitled to.

Samta Arora: Samta works as the marketing coordinator for IVO, also pooling in as a volunteer selector and aspiring to get her hands into more creative work within the team. Her job involves sharp-eyed tracking and continuously pestering the potential candidates with IVO advertising, marketing and promotional mails and campaigns.

Ranjan Koul: Ranjan is engaged as a consultant for IVO and is the overseas recruitment manager for the Sri Lanka project.
