Protestors in Mongolia have gathered to demand the resignation of the country's health minister.

They want Lamjaviin Gundalai to quit his post following the onset of H1N1 influenza, which has claimed the lives of 30 people so far, Reuters reports.

Many individuals were dismayed that the first donated vaccine shipments only arrived in January, according to the news provider.

They also blamed him for the deaths of five babies who passed away due to infections gained through unsanitary conditions in the hospital where they were born.

The demonstrations ended peacefully and were the first such protests witnessed in the capital city since July 2008, but there were warnings of further unrest if their concerns are not addressed by April 19th.

Last month, Tom Doyle, a photographer from Belbroughton, announced that he planned to source 1,000 books to donate to children in Mongolia as part of the Bookbridge appeal, which is a scheme devised to send a total of 45,000 reading materials to the country.
