am i eligible to volunteer?
 

iVolunteer overseas selects volunteers on the basis of general, professional and personal qualities. We want to make certain that the people we select are right for the job and can cope with the specific conditions they will face while working in another developing country.

Basic Criteria :
To be a candidate you should be an Indian Citizen and must meet the following basic requirements
You are between 24 to 60 years of age on the date of application.
You are a Graduate with at least three years experience or a postgraduate with 3 years of experience.
You are in good health / physically fit
You are able to speak and write well in English.
You are prepared to spend two years overseas as a volunteer in another developing country for a locally paid allowance.
You are willing to be assigned where you are needed the most.
Please note that you must have a valid passport with at least 3 years of validity on it in order to be eligible for iVolunteer Overseas Program
Selection Process :
And while applying to the iVolunteer Overseas is easier than being a VSO Volunteer, the qualities that make a good Volunteer will also come in handy during the application process. Yes, applying to become a Volunteer takes some time, preparation, and effort. But as with volunteering, the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. In brief the process involves a few steps which are outlined below.
You Download the application form, fill it and send it to us
You tell us a date when you will be available for telephonic interview.
We review the application and shortlist candidates for telephonic interview.
After the telephonic interview we invite selected candidates for an assessment day during which we will focus on your personal qualities.
We inform the candidates about the results. The volunteer placement advisors will contact the selected volunteers for next steps.
It takes anything from 4 to 6 months to go overseas from the time you apply.
