Assessment days:

Based on the application forms and telephonic interview we will shortlist candidates for "Volunteer Assessment Days". Assesment days are designed to identify personal qualities that are essential for volunteers to have a successful placement. To meet the challenges of a VSO placement, volunteers must be adaptable, sensitive to the needs of others and interested in immersing themselves in a culture that may be very different from what they are used to. VSO also looks for a certain degree of self-assurance, natural problem-solving ability and an aptitude for teamwork. Click here to know more about VSO's Dimensions of a volunteer.

A typical assessment day has some exercises and a personal interview. It will require that you take a day off from your normal routine and attend the assessment day. IVO will take care of your board and lodging while attending assessment days.
