| Matching
:
All the VSO volunteers selected through iVolunteer Overseas
(IVO) will be matched through a process that involves working
with VSO partner organizations in each of the countries where
VSO works.
iVolunteer Overseas (IVO) responds to the requests that emerge
from this process by matching volunteers to placements where
they can share their skills most effectively. Your placement
advisor at iVolunteer Overseas (IVO) is your key contact and
will work with you to identify an appropriate placement. After
you are selected, you will have a chance to discuss your skills,
experience and any personal issues that will need to be addressed.
Once you have been matched to a placement, you will identify
your training needs together with your placement advisor.
All placements are offered on the understanding that you will
satisfactorily complete the required personal and professional
training courses. Click
here to read more about the training support that iVolunteer
Overseas (IVO) provides to the selected volunteers.
There will be a series of pre-departure
training workshops, which will orient you to your work
as a VSO volunteer overseas.
