What is VSO Experience

Volunteering overseas with VSO is one practical way that you can take action to tackle poverty and injustice throughout the developing world. By sharing your management, finance and fundraising skills to build capacity in countries such as Nepal, Namibia, Mongolia and Tanzania, you can also develop your own career.

Living and working alongside local communities, and in partnership with local organizations, you will put your experience in change management, strategic planning, financial management and fundraising to good use. Key tasks might include creating management systems, developing the skills of local staff or devising strategies for income generation. You will be working with limited resources and need to garner the support of a wide range of stakeholders. So your higher order management skills will have every opportunity to grow.
