Am I eligible?

iVolunteer Overseas selects volunteers on the basis of their personal and professional qualities. We want to ensure that the people we select are appropriate for the assignment. They should be able to cope with a new culture, living and working conditions.

Basic criteria

You are an eligible candidate if:

• you are an Indian citizen

• you are between 26-65 years old on the date of application

• you are a graduate or a postgraduate with a minimum of three years’ experience

• you are fluent in both, written and spoken English

• you are physically fit and healthy**

• you are prepared to spend two years as a volunteer

• you are willing to be assigned to where you are needed the most and not where you wish to go.

Please note that you must have a passport valid for at least three years, in order to be eligible for the iVolunteer Overseas Programme.
